Darren has developed wide-ranging and extensive experience since entering private practice in 2006, amassing over 15,000 hours of clinical experience. He has worked with individuals, including teenagers and adults, couples, families, groups, and workplaces. In addition, Darren has run workshops and presented seminars on mental health, sexuality, mindfulness, relationships, Multiple Sclerosis (MS), stress management and resilience. Since 2006 Darren worked for four years part-time as a counsellor for The MS Society of Tasmania and six years part-time for Converge International as senior consultant specialising in Employee Assistance Program (EAP) counselling. Darren now works full-time in the practice.

Darren’s specialises in mental health including help to manage anxiety, depression and stress symptoms, relationship/couple challenges, sexual functioning, family interactions and dynamics, workplace stressors and anxieties, and MS symptoms. Darren was awarded his BA in 2004 from Griffith University, Diploma of Professional Counselling from The Australian Institute of Professional Counsellors in 2006 and Master of Health Science (Sexual Health) in 2012 from The University of Sydney.

Jeanette Radley

Psychotherapist/Counsellor & Mediator

Jeanette has a masters degree in counselling and is an accredited and registered family dispute resolution practitioner and mediator.  Jeanette has been working part time in private practice at The EPICentre since  November 2006. Jeanette is now working full time at the EPICentre.

From January 2008 to June 2019 Jeanette was employed at Relationships Australia Tasmania in the following roles: counsellor, registered family dispute resolution practitioner (FDRP), clinical supervisor and varying management roles as follows: Manager – Early Intervention Services South (managing teams of counsellors, psychologists and social workers), Manager – Family Dispute Resolution South (managing a team of family dispute resolution practitioners, mediators and child consultants),  and also Manager – Client Intake and Reception Services. Jeanette has also worked for over two years as a trauma and torture counsellor at the Phoenix Centre in Hobart from 2008 to 2010.

Jeanette uses an eclectic mix of evidence-based therapies, and is trained in general counselling, relationship counselling,  trauma, grief and loss, child and adolescent counselling, parenting issues, behaviour modification for adults and children, mindfulness training and MiCBT, anxiety, stress and mood management. Jeanette is also trained in Family Dispute Resolution and is registered with the Department of the Australian Attorney General. Jeanette has completed the Jennifer MacIntosh child inclusive mediation and counselling training and can provide child consultant sessions for child inclusive mediation. Jeanette is trained and experienced as a clinical supervisor for counsellors, social workers, FDRP’s and mediators. Jeanette holds National Accreditation for Mediation as determined by the Mediator Standards Board Australia. Jeanette holds professional membership with the Mediation Institute and the Australian Counselling Association and is bound by their codes of conduct, ethics and values as a professional counsellor and Mediator/FDRP.
